Winning Entry “Toxic Vanity” by Falmouth Uni graduate Eleanor Ryder

A Marine & Natural History Photography graduate has become another feather in Falmouth University’s cap as she was announced as one of the winners of National Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year.
Out of the thousands of entries that entered the contest, only a select few images and photographers were chosen – including Eleanor Ryder; a talented Falmouth photography graduate, originally from Wales.

The results were announced just before Christmas, when Eleanor discovered that her photo “Toxic Vanity”, which is a magnification of plastic particles in eyeliner, picked up third place in the Environmental Issues Category.

Eleanor praised the staff at Falmouth’s Institute of Photography for their support & encouragement throughout her photography education and career.
