Masked Men Rob Two Shops at Gunpoint

Police are appealing to the public for help following two armed robberies over the weekend in Cornwall.

The first incident took place at around 2.10pm on Sunday 26 November at a Post Office stores in Four Lanes, nr Redruth, the next took place around 20 minutes later at the Spar convenience store in Stithians.

On both occasions, two men wearing balaclavas and armed with handguns entered the post office and demanded money before fleeing in a blue hatchback car, possibly a Honda or Hyundai.

No one was hurt during these two robberies and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from both properties.

Armed response units were sent to the area, along with support from the police helicopter but extensive searches were unsuccessful in relation to locating the suspects.
