Zackly woss not needed – Bus Fare increase across Cornwall

Bus fares have gone up in Cornwall as of today. First Kernow say it is ‘to reflect our operational costs’.

Adult singles will increase by 20p

Adult returns will increase by 30p

Child singles will increase by 10p

Child returns will increase by 15p

Earlybird concession single tickets 40p

1 day & longer period season tickets will have no increases.

To compensate First Kernow say they will be offering some lower town fares: £1.40 single & £2.10 return in Truro, Penzance, Wadebridge, Bodmin, Bude, Camborne, Falmouth, Hayle, Newquay, Redruth, St Austell & St Ives.

Cornish Stuff reader Christopher Griffin messaged:

“Oh joy! It’s that time of year when the bus fares go up. £2.40 for a single from St.Ives to Carbis Bay – 20p increase. No doubt they’ll go up again when our beloved visitors return. First should go out of business or just enter the extortion market”

If you’re a regular traveller a smartphone apps can offer substantial savings over single & return tickets:
