Five men charged with Michael Spiers robbery

Five men charged

Five men have been charged in connection with the armed robbery at Michael Spiers jewellery shop, which happened last Wednesday in Truro.

Devon & Cornwall Police made rapid progress in catching the gang who terrified the streets of Cornwall’s capital last week. The gun used turned out to be fake.

Tomas Bakierskis, aged 24 from Bristol, Haroldas Ivanovas, aged 20 from Newquay, Andrius Buinevicius, aged 41 from Lithuania, Saulius Mickus, aged 28 from Bristol, and Rogertas Slekaitis, aged 25 from Kingslynne, have been charged with robbery, conspire to commit robbery, have an imitation firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.

All five men will appear before Truro Magistrates’ Court later today (Monday).
