DESCRIPTION:The first-ever Cornwall Baby Show will be held this weekend at the beautiful Gwel an Mor Resort in Portreath on Sunday\, 21st July.  Supported by Cornwall’s Rewind Radio and NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly\, the event promises to be a cornerstone for new and expecting parents\, providing a wealth of resources and support. The show will be open to the public with free entry from 11 am to 3 pm. \nThe Baby Show will feature a variety of local traders offering a range of baby services and products\, creating a unique marketplace for attendees. This is an excellent opportunity for local businesses to showcase their offerings and for parents to discover new and useful products for their little ones. \nIn collaboration with NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly\, the Cornwall Baby Show will also offer a comprehensive suite of health services with the NHS health team on-site to provide: \n\nBlood pressure checks\nCholesterol testing\nWeight/BMI assessments\nHealth and vaccination advice\nQ-risk scoring (evaluating the risk of developing cardiovascular problems over the next ten years)\nSmoking cessation support\n\nAdditionally\, the NHS midwifery team will be present to offer specialised advice on pregnancy health\, childhood immunisations\, and whooping cough vaccinations for pregnant individuals. To be eligible for the whooping cough vaccination\, the pregnant person needs to be between 16 and 32 weeks of pregnancy. Please note that the NHS team will provide general pregnancy advice only; those with specific health concerns should contact their local GP. \nNicola Langridge\, Brand Manager\, expressed her enthusiasm for the event\, stating\, “We are thrilled to be organizing the first Cornwall Baby Show in support of the NHS. This event is something that Cornwall’s mums-to-be truly need\, offering them a chance to access vital health services and discover fantastic local products.
