SUMMARY:Town Mayor’s Tide Race – Maenporth Beach
DESCRIPTION:The Mayor’s Tide Race returns to Maenporth Beach for a day of family fun\, friendly rivalry and community spirit. Hosted by Town Mayor Cllr Alan Jewell\, the challenge invites entrants of all ages to build the tallest mound or most impressive sandcastle – with one catch: it must withstand the incoming tide. \nPrizes will be awarded in both Adult and Junior categories. \nSuggested donations: £5 adults / £2.50 children. All proceeds will go to Pendennis Leisure\, which is developing plans for a new leisure centre at the former Ships & Castles site. \nParticipants are encouraged to bring friends\, family and their own tools to create their tide-defying masterpieces.
