DESCRIPTION:Award-winning vocalist and holistic voice coach Heather Maîr Thomas will host a one-day Sing Therapy™ workshop in Mousehole\nThe workshop takes place on Saturday June 6th 2026 and is open to all levels\, including complete beginners\, nervous singers\, choir members and experienced performers.\nOriginally from a musical Newlyn family\, Heather grew up surrounded by generations of singing and performance traditions in West Cornwall. Many local people will remember her grandfather\, bandleader\, conductor and organist\, Norris Williams\, \nHeather has spent more than 30 years teaching and performing professionally across opera\, jazz\, folk\, television and community music settings. Her career has included conservatoire training in London\, television and media work\, an acting appearance in Doctor Who\, and vocal coaching clients including David Tennant\, Matt Willis and Andy Bell from Erasure. \nHeather has developed Sing Therapy™\, a gentle\, practical approach blending vocal technique\, relaxation and mindset work for adults who may feel anxious\, self-conscious or unsure about singing. Alongside her music background\, she is also trained in life coaching and hypnotherapy. \nHeather says: “So many adults carry the belief that they can’t sing\, often because of one careless comment or experience years ago. I’m interested in helping people enjoy their voice in a way that feels safe and fun\, without pressure or judgement.”\nThe informal workshop will include: \nobserving our vocal stories\nrelaxation and breath-work\nvocal technique and ongoing practice \nEverything is designed to be accessible\, friendly and supportive\, with no expectation for participants to sing alone. \nSinging is good for you! SUMMARY:Penlee RNLI Lifeboat Blessing at Mousehole Harbour
DESCRIPTION:Penlee RNLI’s lifeboats Ivan Ellen and Mollie and Ivor Dent will attend their annual open-air blessing at Mousehole Harbour\, accompanied by their volunteer crews. \nThe service will include a performance by the internationally renowned Mousehole Male Voice Choir and a moment of remembrance for the eight crew members of the Solomon Browne lifeboat who lost their lives in 1981 during a rescue mission to the Union Star. \nAll are welcome to attend this poignant community event.
