Gloves\, litter pickers\, and buckets will be provided – all you need to do is show up and help keep Perranporth’s stunning coastline clean. \n🔹 Special Guest: Andy Nelson from the Making Space for Sand project will be attending\, sharing insights on how data is collected to monitor climate change effects on Cornwall’s beaches and dunes. \n🔹 Who Can Join? Open to all – children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. \nThis is one of many Love Your Beach Day events happening across Cornwall. DESCRIPTION:ROCKPOOL BINGO TOMORROW TUES 6th AUGUST from 11:30am.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCome and join us for a morning’s rockpooling down on Perranporth beach and play rockpool bingo! FREE EVENT !! to celebrate National Marine Week.\n\n\nMeet at 11.30am prompt!! by our flag at Chapel Rock down on the beach\, so that you can hear a short\, but necessary health and safety information talk and learn how you can keep our rockpool creatures safe. We will then walk together across to the rockpools below Droskyn. This rockpool session ends at 1:30pm – low tide.\n\n\nThis rockpool session gives you\, the citizen scientist\, a chance to find and identify the wonderful marine life we have here at Perranporth and tick them off on our special rockpool bingo sheets. The person with the most species ticked on the bingo sheet will win a copy of Collins guide to the Seashore. \n\n\nYou will also have a chance to meet Rebecca Allen\, Cornwall Wildlife’s Marine Conservation Officer\, who has very kindly offered to share her expertise with us. \n\n\nPlease wear shoes suitable for rockpooling as the rocks can be slippery and bring a bucket but no nets please – as they can damage marine life.\n\n\nAll children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.\n\n\nIf you are unable to attend this event\, we have an exciting Weever Fish Discovery Day and Rockpool Ramble on 23rd August – see our post soon.
