DESCRIPTION:EAST STREET NEWQUAY THROWS A CHRISTMAS EVENT! \nThe East Street business community have been working closely with Newquay Business Improvement District (BID) to create its first Christmas event: Eastside Yuletide. The event will take place on Saturday December 14th 2024. Some of the activities will be held outside the Post Office on East Street and businesses up and down the street will be getting involved in the festivities too! \nHighlights of the day’s events include a dog festive fancy dress competition (judging at 4pm with prizes donated by The Pet Centre!)\, American Football games held by Cornwall Dukes Youth American Football Team\, an elf-on-a-shelf treasure hunt across the street and live music from The Velvets\, Orchard Voices and the day will come to an end with a performance from The Clams at 6pm! \nThis family friendly event is free to come and enjoy and funded and coordinated by Newquay BID and the East Street businesses. \nWhat’s on offer:\nLIVE MUSIC\n13:30 The Velvets\n14:30 Orchard Voices\n18:00 The Clams \nGAMES\n15:30 Cornwall Dukes Youth American Football Team games\nThroughout the afternoon you will be able to join the treasure hunt and look for the cheeky elves-on-shelves in some of the businesses on East Street. \nDOG FANCY DRESS COMPETITION\nThat’s right… Be under the gazebo outside the Post Office at 16:00\, ready for the Dog Fancy Dress Contest we’ve all been waiting for! With prizes donated by The Pet Centre\, your furry friend won’t want to miss this… \nBUSINESSES JOINING THE FESTIVITIES\nAll Things Cornwall: We’ll be carrying out tasters of some of our lines – cheese\, crackers\, relishes\, peanut butters\, Christmas biscuits\, and some of the alcohol lines to name a few and a hamper giveaway!\nRolling Joe: We’ll be offering tattoo walk-ups\, budget friendly temporary tattoos and festive drinks!
