SUMMARY:Truro City Bonfire Night
DESCRIPTION:Truro City Council is hosting this year’s annual Bonfire and Fireworks Display at Tremorvah Playing Field on Tuesday\, 5 November. \nGates will open at 5pm. The bonfire will be lit at 6.30 pm\, followed by the fireworks display at 7pm. \nEntry is £3 per adult and £1 per child (under 16). \nRefreshments will also be available to purchase on-site\, kindly offered by 18th Truro Sea Scouts. \nFABB (Friends of Archbishop Benson) will be providing car parking for £3 per vehicle in the Archbishop Benson School\, Bodmin Road\, Truro\, TR1 1BN\, with proceeds going to their PTA charity. \nWe would like to kindly remind people in the lead up to this event that rubbish / fly tipping on the bonfire being built at Tremorvah Playing Field is not permitted. Thank you for your co-operation and continued support. \nPlease be aware that this is a cash only event. \nAll profits from the event will be donated to Cornwall Air Ambulance\, CHBN Radio and Cornwall Young Farmers. \n“I am delighted that the City Council is once again hosting a bonfire and fireworks display for the local community“ said Truro Mayor Cllr Carol Swain. “I would like to thank staff from the City Council and Visit Truro for helping to organise the event\, CHBN Radio for their support\, members of the 18th Truro Sea Scouts who will be providing the food and members of the Cornwall Federation of Young Farmers Club who are helping to steward the event”. \nI am particularly pleased that the event will be raising money for a charity – Cornwall Air Ambulance – which I have supported for many years\, and which provides such a vital service for the residents of Cornwall in their times of greatest need.”
