Truro Businesses Urged to Join City Clean Up – Can You Spare an Hour?
Truro businesses and community groups are being called on to roll up their sleeves for the eighth City Clean Up, taking place Friday 7th to Saturday 8th March.
A Community Effort to Keep Truro Tidy
Organised by Truro BID in conjunction with Newham BID, the clean-up aims to bring together as many local businesses, organisations, and volunteers as possible to help tidy the city. Participants are encouraged to donate an hour or whatever time they can spare to take part in activities such as sign washing, cable tie cutting, and litter picking.
To ensure a wider impact, Paul Caruana, a local community volunteer, is coordinating litter picks in Truro’s surrounding neighbourhoods, while Damien Richards from Truro City Council will be inviting local community groups to join the effort.
Equipment Provided for Volunteers
Volunteers will be supplied with high-visibility vests, gloves, bags, and litter sticks, courtesy of Clean Cornwall.
Those interested in getting involved can email Sian Knights as soon as possible to sign up.
