Cornwall Air Ambulance Welcomes 2024 with Upgraded Hangar Doors

Cornwall Air Ambulance has kicked off the new year with a significant upgrade to its facilities. The charity announced the completion of new hangar doors at its base, aiming to enhance its response efficiency to emergencies across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

The newly installed insulated sliding folding doors are a modern replacement for the older electro-hydraulic garage type door. According to the air ambulance service, the new doors are lighter, more reliable, and easier to operate. This upgrade is expected to streamline operations, enabling quicker and more efficient deployment of the aircraft to the helipad, ensuring that the team can respond to emergencies as swiftly as possible.

Expressing gratitude for the installation work, Cornwall Air Ambulance extended a hearty “thank you” to A & P Southern Doors Ltd, the company responsible for implementing the upgrade.
