Sky’s No Limit: A New Documentary Explores the Realities of Travelling with a Disability
“Sky’s No Limit” is the latest documentary shedding light on the daily challenges faced by individuals with disabilities when travelling.
Produced by disAbility Cornwall & IoS, the film follows the journey of Marie, Project Lead of the Cornwall Accessible Activities Program (CAAP), and her daughter Liddy, a young adult with Kleefstra syndrome. The pair travelled from Cornwall to Belfast for the annual Learning Disability Nurses Conference held at Queens University Belfast.
A Unique Perspective
The documentary is part of the DISCOVER Voices project, an initiative by disAbility Cornwall aimed at amplifying the voices of those with disabilities. “Sky’s No Limit” provides an in-depth look at the logistical and emotional aspects of travelling by bus and plane to a new city. Through Marie and Liddy’s eyes, viewers gain a personal insight into the lived experiences of families navigating public transportation and attending significant events while managing a disability.
