Search for Black VW Golf

Following initial enquiries, officers are now focusing on locating a black VW Golf with the registration ‘AV07 UFA’. This vehicle is thought to be connected to the burglary and was last seen in the St Austell area on Friday, 7 June.

Unrelated Incidents

Detectives have clarified that this burglary is not linked to a separate incident that occurred later the same evening at the Applegreen petrol station on Penwinnick Road. In that incident, a police officer was injured by a car at 11:40 pm.

Two men, aged 33 and 48, were previously arrested in connection with both incidents. They have since been eliminated from the Texaco investigation but remain on police bail until September concerning the Penwinnick Road case.

Public Appeal

The police are urging anyone who has seen the black VW Golf or has information regarding its current location to contact them immediately. Information can be reported by calling 101 and quoting log 920 6/6/24.
