Daniel Craig’s Extraordinary Donation: Own a Piece of 007 History While Supporting RNLI’s 200th Anniversary

In a remarkable gesture, actor Daniel Craig has donated two personal, limited edition 007 x Triumph motorcycles to raise funds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) during its 200th anniversary year. The motorcycles, inspired by the bikes featured in the 25th James Bond film, No Time To Die, will be auctioned off in October, with all proceeds benefiting the RNLI’s vital lifesaving work.

A Lifelong Connection with the RNLI

Daniel has long been a passionate supporter of the RNLI, an organisation that has been saving lives at sea across the UK and Ireland since 1824. Growing up near the RNLI station at Hoylake, Daniel’s connection with the charity has been deeply personal. His involvement with the RNLI has included supporting campaigns and even going afloat with the lifeboat crew at Ramsgate to gain a first-hand understanding of the organisation’s life-saving operations.

Reflecting on his ongoing support, Daniel said, “The RNLI has been close to my heart all my life since growing up near the RNLI station at Hoylake. I am honoured and immensely proud to support the RNLI and hope the auction of Triumph’s Limited Edition Bond motorcycles proves popular.”

A One-of-a-Kind Auction

The two motorcycles being auctioned are the #003/250 Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition and the #001/250 Tiger 900 Bond Edition. These models, which sold out on the day of their launch, are expected to draw significant interest at the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show in Staffordshire on 12th and 13th October 2024.

Adding to the exclusivity of the auction, each motorcycle will be hand-signed by Daniel Craig on both sides and sold with the original V5C documents bearing his name. Additionally, a certificate of authenticity signed by Daniel and Triumph Motorcycles CEO Nick Bloor will accompany each bike.

An Unmissable Experience

The successful bidders will not only secure these rare motorcycles but also gain an extraordinary riding experience at the Triumph Adventure Experience in Wales. This package includes an exclusive ride with James Bond stunt co-ordinator Lee Morrison and 007 stunt double Paul Edmondson, offering fans and motorcycle enthusiasts alike a truly unique opportunity.

Daniel shared his excitement about this aspect of the auction, saying, “The riding experience with Lee Morrison and Paul Edmondson adds another unique and exciting dynamic to the lots. The opportunity is not to be missed and will help raise funds for the truly lifesaving cause that is the RNLI.”

A Vital Cause

Jayne George, the RNLI’s Director of Fundraising, expressed her gratitude for Daniel’s continued support, highlighting the significant impact of the funds that will be raised. “The money raised from the auction will make a huge difference. It will enable us to invest in vital training and equipment for our lifesavers as well as helping us to deliver water safety advice to the public so we can prevent people getting in trouble at sea.”

As the RNLI marks 200 years of saving lives, this auction provides an extraordinary chance to own a piece of 007 history while supporting a cause that has been at the heart of British coastal communities for two centuries.
