WAX Gym Surprises Over 1,700 Students with Free School Supplies at Newquay Tretherras

In a heartwarming gesture that’s set to make a difference in the lives of local students, WAX Gym has announced the donation of essential school supplies to more than 1,700 students at Newquay Tretherras. As the new academic year approaches, every student will receive a set of crucial supplies including a black pen, a red pen, a pencil, a ruler, and a rubber, ensuring they are ready to start the term on the right foot.

Supporting the Community

For the past few years, WAX Gym’s efforts to provide school supplies have reached only a few hundred families in need. This year, however, the gym has expanded its generosity to cover every student at Newquay Tretherras, making this the largest giveaway in their history.

Sarah Withers, General Manager of WAX Gym and Newquay Sports Centre, shared her thoughts on the donation, stating, “Despite the current challenges of running a business, we believe it’s more important than ever for companies to give back to their local community.” Sarah emphasised WAX Gym’s commitment to making a positive impact, particularly by supporting the younger generation.

WAX Gym’s Ongoing Commitment to Newquay

This donation is just one of many ways WAX Gym continues to support the Newquay community. The gym is also known for organising the annual WAX NQY Fireworks event, which is scheduled for 2nd November this year. Last year’s event raised funds for several important community programs, including free Women’s Self Defence classes, Men’s Mental Health Survival School programs, and Knife Defence Workshops.
