Missing Person Found After Search in Indian Queens/St Stephens Area
In the early hours of 30th September 2024, East Cornwall Search and Rescue Team were called out to assist Devon & Cornwall Police in the search for a high-risk missing person. The search took place in the Indian Queens/St Stephens area, with both foot teams and a water team deployed to cover areas south of the missing person’s last known position.
Vehicle Found Near Fast-Flowing River
The missing person’s vehicle was discovered near a fast-flowing river following extremely heavy rainfall. Concerns grew that the individual may have sustained injuries in the incident due to the challenging conditions.
Person Located by Lorry Driver
After several areas were searched, the missing person was found outside the immediate area by a passing lorry driver. The driver brought the individual to a place of safety, and the team was officially stood down at 07:36hrs.
