Falmouth Celebrates Mayor Alan Rowe’s Civic Service Today
Today, Sunday 13th October, Falmouth is set to celebrate Mayor Alan Rowe’s Civic Service at the historic Falmouth Parish Church, King Charles the Martyr. The event marks the official inauguration of the Town Mayor and brings together civic heads along with members from all sectors of Falmouth’s vibrant community.
A Celebration of Leadership and Community
The Civic Service is a longstanding tradition, held to honour the Mayor’s role in serving the town. This year, Mayor Alan Rowe will be joined by civic leaders and representatives from across Falmouth, reflecting the unity and spirit of the town’s diverse population.
Procession and Ceremony Details
A parade will depart from The Moor at approximately 10:40 am, leading up to the service at the church, which is due to begin at 11 am. Following the service, the parade will reform and return to The Moor. To accommodate the event, road closures are in place from 10 am to 1 pm, though they will be lifted temporarily during the service and reimposed once the parade returns.
