As Bonfire Night approaches, Cornwall is ready to light up the skies with an array of dazzling firework displays and community events. Whether you’re in the north, west, or down south, there’s something for everyone. Here’s a look at what’s happening across the region this year:

Bonfire Night Highlights

Falmouth Cricket Club, Trescobeas Road (November 5th)

Join the Falmouth Firefighters Social and Welfare Club and Falmouth Cricket Club for a spectacular fireworks display at the cricket ground. Gates open at 6pm, and the show begins at 7pm.

Tregony Fireworks, Tregony Playing Field (November 5th)

Experience a bonfire, Guy Fawkes judging, and a professional firework display at 7pm, followed by live music by The Zealots in the clubhouse. Entry fees are £5 for adults, £3 for children, and free for those under 5.

Chacewater Village Hall, Chacewater (November 5th)

Get ready for a bigger and better show this year. Gates open at 5.30pm, and the fireworks start at 7pm. Note: cash-only entry, with fees at £3 for adults and £2 for children.

Tremorvah Playing Field, Truro (November 5th)

Hosted by Truro City Council, this event will feature a bonfire lit at 6.30pm followed by fireworks at 7pm. Cash-only entry is priced at £3 for adults and £1 for children under 16.

Truro City Football Club Fireworks – 5th November Match Day!
For an unforgettable Bonfire Night experience, head to Truro City Football Club, where WAX Events Co will host a dazzling fireworks display before the match against Chippenham. Visitors can enjoy an evening packed with fireworks, a variety of food and drink options, and live entertainment—all included with a standard match day ticket. With a target sell-out crowd of 3,000 expected, early booking is advised! Ticket prices start at £15 for adults, with special rates for concessions and families.

St Ives, Porthminster Beach (November 5th)

Enjoy a free fireworks display at Porthminster Beach. Donations are welcomed to support local causes.

Bodmin, Priory Park (November 5th)

Bodmin’s traditional event is back with a bonfire and fireworks display, enhanced this year by music from British artists. Gates open at 5pm, with the bonfire starting at 7pm. Advance tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for children, with a £1 increase at the gate. Tickets can be purchased at Morrisons, Martin & Budge, Spar Shop Lanivet, Celtic Produce, Bricknells in Wadebridge, or on the gate.

Liskeard Lion’s Fireworks Night – 5th November 2024

Head over to Liskeard Rugby Club for a family-friendly Bonfire Night hosted by Liskeard Lions. Gates open at 5 pm, with the fireworks display set to begin at 7 pm. Entry is just £5 for adults, while under-16s go free when accompanied by an adult. Parking will be available at Liskeard Cricket Pitch, weather permitting. Enjoy a variety of food and drinks from the onsite catering van, and pick up fun light-up toys for the kids—cash and card payments are accepted.

Ruan Minor Recreation Ground (November 9th)

Described by organisers as “the most spectacular firework displays for miles around,” this event will feature a barbecue, tea, coffee, and mulled wine. Entry is £5 for adults and £2 for children under 16, with glow sticks available for purchase.

Hayle Firework Extravaganza – Saturday 9th November
Join the community at Hayle Cricket Club for a spectacular Firework Extravaganza! Gates open at 6 pm, with the firework display kicking off around 7:30 pm. Attendees can enjoy a variety of refreshments, including a bar, BBQ, glow merchandise, and treats from Mr B’s Ice Cream Parlour. Entry is by cash donation at the gate to help support this cherished community event, so please give generously. Limited parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with additional parking nearby at The Bluff Inn and North Quay, all within a short 5-minute walk. Stithians Cricket Club Fireworks Extravaganza (November 9th)

Sponsored by Aqua Rod, this event features a bonfire lit at 7pm and fireworks at 7.30pm. The bar will be open, and burgers and hot dogs will be available. Entry is free, but donations are gratefully received. The organisers look forward to welcoming everyone for an evening of fun.

Community House Bonfire Night – Saturday in St Buryan, Penzance (November 9th)

The annual Bonfire Night celebration is back at Community House in St Buryan! Join the fun this Saturday with food and bar service starting from 5:30 pm, the bonfire lighting at 6 pm, and a fireworks display at 7 pm. A DJ will provide music throughout the evening, creating a lively atmosphere for all ages. Parking is limited, so please car share where possible and be mindful of local parking spaces. Contributions to help cover costs are appreciated. Come along for a fantastic community evening!

Porthcew Dairy Charity Bonfire Evening – Thursday 14th November
Porthcew Dairy invites everyone to a community bonfire and fireworks night in support of the local young farmers group. Starting at 7 pm, enjoy a lively bonfire, BBQ, and refreshments, with a fireworks display set for 8 pm. Entry is free, and funds raised through donations and BBQ sales will support the young farmers and a local charity. Parking is available near the vending machine, though walking is encouraged if possible. The dairy appreciates everyone’s support and aims to spread the word to reduce any surprise for pets and neighbours.
