Cornwall’s Rewind Radio has announced that Scott Temple, well-known for his stints on Pirate FM and Greatest Hits Radio, is the new host for their daytime programming, set to begin on Monday, 11th November. Scott, a popular radio personality in Cornwall, will bring his local knowledge and charm to listeners across Cornwall and West Devon on the independent station.

Bringing Experience and Familiarity to Local Airwaves

With nearly 11 years at Cornwall’s heritage station, Scott is a familiar voice to many in the community. Known for his engaging style and memorable segments like “The Double Duchy,” he has been a trusted figure on the airwaves. Following recent changes in station ownership, Scott expressed a strong commitment to staying in local radio, which he feels plays an invaluable role in the community.

Scott shared his enthusiasm for the move, saying, “I am delighted to be part of a fast-growing local radio station that’s making a significant impact across Cornwall. Last week’s Radiothon is a testament to the hard work Richard Woods and his team have put in.” He will host weekday shows from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and weekend mornings, continuing to bring his warmth and experience to his new listeners on Rewind Radio.

A Key Addition for Cornwall’s Rewind Radio

Richard Woods, Managing Director of Cornwall’s Rewind Radio, welcomed Scott to the station, emphasising the potential impact on both listeners and commercial partners. “Having someone as recognisable as Scott on air can only bring more listeners and, in turn, benefit our commercial partners. Scott brings over 25 years of commercial radio experience, and I am thrilled he sees Rewind as his new home for daytime radio,” he said.

An Evolving Radio Line-Up

Scott’s new slot follows the schedule of Jack Murley, who now airs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., continuing popular segments like “If You Know, You Know” and the “Big Business Battle.” Scott will also revive “The Double Duchy,” a much-loved feature that reflects his enduring dedication to Cornwall’s community-driven radio.

Listeners can tune in from 11th November to experience Scott’s return to daytime radio on Cornwall’s Rewind Radio as he begins this exciting new chapter in Cornwall’s radio landscape.
