Sir Humphry Davy Gets Festive Makeover for Penzance Christmas Lights
Penzance is embracing the festive season with a touch of creativity as Sir Humphry Davy is fitted with a freshly made Santa hat. On the morning of Wednesday, 27th November, Tracy Tonkin from Penzance Council and Robin Hawkins from High Maintenance teamed up to decorate the town’s Christmas tree and dress the famous statue in its seasonal attire.

The Perfect Fit for Festive Cheer
Sir Humphry’s new hat, made to fit his impressive 38-inch head measurement, adds a playful twist to the town’s preparations. The finishing touches were completed just days ahead of the Penzance Christmas Lights Switch-On, taking place on Saturday, 30th November.
This festive makeover is set to brighten spirits as Penzance welcomes the holiday season with charm and tradition.
