Could You Be Paying Less for Parking in Truro? Here’s How
Truro city centre workers can take advantage of discounted parking options, making it more affordable to commute into town. Truro BID has shared details of various schemes, including reduced rates at High Cross, savings through the JustPark Wallet, and cost-effective Park and Ride services.
£5 All-Day Parking at High Cross with NCP ParkPass
Employees working in Truro city centre can park for up to 24 hours at High Cross car park for a reduced rate of £5.00 from Monday to Saturday and just £2.00 on Sundays. To claim the discount, workers need to use a Saver ID code in the NCP ParkPass App. To receive the code, email Sian Knights at Truro BID.
Save with JustPark Wallet in Truro’s Long-Stay Car Parks
The JustPark Wallet allows users to park in most Cornwall Council long-stay car parks at a discounted rate. While it’s not exclusive to Truro city centre workers, it’s a useful option for commuters and regular visitors.
Currently, parking sessions using JustPark Wallet cost £2.63 per day in Truro at Edward Street, Garras Wharf, and Moresk car parks. Users must preload the wallet with at least £50, which must be used within two years. This wallet can also be used in other Cornwall Council car parks.
Park and Ride from Just £1.64 Per Day
For those looking for a budget-friendly option, Truro’s Park and Ride runs Monday to Saturday (except bank holidays) from Langarth Park and Tregurra Park between 6.30am and 8.30pm.
A multi-day ticket brings the cost down to just £1.64 per day when purchasing a 60-day ticket. The best part? These tickets don’t have to be used on consecutive days.
More details on the Park and Ride service are available on the Cornwall Council website.
