Major Upgrade at Hayle Recreation Ground Toilets – See the Before and After!

Published On: 1 February 2025Last Updated: 1 February 2025By

Hayle Town Council has confirmed that work on the accessible toilet at Hayle Recreation Ground is now complete and open for public use. The neighbouring toilet is also set to open soon, with only a few final parts left to be installed.

Refurbishment Brings Modern Facilities

The upgrade includes the installation of new wallgates—combined washing and drying facilities—along with new toilets, grab rails, panelling, and flooring. These improvements are designed to enhance accessibility and make the facilities easier to clean and maintain.

Much of the refurbishment was carried out by the council’s in-house maintenance team, helping to keep costs down. The results, according to the council, are a much fresher and more user-friendly facility.

Public Urged to Help Maintain New Toilets

With the work now complete, the council is encouraging the public to take care of the newly refurbished toilets. They have also shared before and after photos to showcase the transformation.

The final touches on the second toilet are expected to be completed soon, ensuring both facilities are fully operational in the near future.
