Emergency Teams Rush to Newquay Boating Lake Rescue Early Sunday Morning
Incident Initially Reported at Tolcarne Beach
Newquay Coastguard Rescue Team, alongside Newquay RNLI Lifeboats, were called out at 7:00 am on Sunday, 9th March, to assist South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust and Devon & Cornwall Police with an incident initially reported at Tolcarne Beach.
However, upon arrival, it was confirmed that the emergency was actually unfolding at The Boating Lake, prompting teams to be redirected to the correct location.

Casualty Rescued from Water
Coastguard rescue officers removed one casualty from the water and assisted paramedics already on the scene. A critical care team was also dispatched to provide additional support before the casualty was transported to hospital for further treatment.
A team from Newquay Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service also attended and assisted in the operation.
The Newquay Coastguard Rescue Team extended their well wishes to the casualty, hoping for a swift recovery.
