Appeal After Two People Stabbed in Camborne: Man Arrested

Police are investigating a serious assault that left two people in hospital after a stabbing at a home in Camborne shortly after midnight on Saturday 21st June.

Emergency Services Called to Reskadinnick Road

The incident took place inside a residential property on Reskadinnick Road, with ambulance crews alerting police just after midnight. Officers were immediately deployed to the scene and arrested one man, who is now in custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Steve Fleetwood, who is leading the investigation, said:
“The incident happened just after midnight inside the address. Two victims received multiple stab wounds and were taken to hospital where they are receiving treatment.”

Fortunately, neither of the victims’ injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

20-Year-Old Man Arrested

DCI Fleetwood confirmed the suspect is a 20-year-old man known to the victims. A knife has since been recovered.

A scene guard remains in place as Cornwall CID continue their investigation throughout the day.

Officers Reassure the Community

DCI Fleetwood added:
“Although an isolated incident, we appreciate that this will have caused local concern amongst the community. We will continue to be in the area this afternoon and advise anyone with concerns to come up and speak to officers.”

“We have one man in custody, and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the matter.”
