Sharp’s and The Wyldes Host Summer Solstice Gathering in North Cornwall

Solstice Gathering brings sunshine, music and dancing to North Cornwall

A crowd gathered under the summer sun at The Wyldes near Bude last weekend, as the longest day of the year was marked in true Cornish style. The Solstice Gathering was the second event in the new Rewylding series, hosted by the locally loved outdoor venue and supported by Rock-based brewery Sharp’s Brewing Co.

The day featured curated live music, yoga and workshops, with the atmosphere building into a feel-good party that kept festivalgoers dancing well into the evening. Festival themes of connection, celebration and local creativity were woven through the programme, with a funky and folky soundtrack to match.

Solstice memories and local flavour

The gathering formed part of Sharp’s Good Waves campaign. A beach hut and a unique photobooth were set up for attendees to capture their Solstice moments, adding to the relaxed, feel-good vibe of the day.

A summer of affordable live music

The Rewylding 2025 series is a new direction for The Wyldes. It promises smaller-scale, themed events designed to create an intimate festival experience and support emerging talent in a tough live music climate. Each event will be priced at just £20, with music centred around the venue’s original Second Stage.

Sharp’s will continue to support the Rewylding events throughout 2025, as well as making appearances at key Cornish and national events including The Big Feastival, All Points East Festival, Looe Food and Drink Festival, The Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival and the Padstow to Rock Swim.
