Homeless musician teams up with Peter Andre and prepares for EP debut at St Mary’s Church

A Cornish pianist who went viral playing Bohemian Rhapsody while sleeping rough in Penzance is set to launch his debut album on Saturday 26th July 2025, exactly one year after his first concert.

Album launch at the site of his viral fame

Known as the Nightchurch Pianist, the musician will return to St Mary’s Church in Penzance, the same venue where his viral performance first drew national attention, to launch his first EP. Titled Hi & Bye, the five-song album was written while he was living on the streets.

The launch will be marked by a theatrical piano concert, supported by local artists Gurdybird and Lottee Brown. Tickets for the event cost £10, with all proceeds going to help the homeless.

Standing ovations, Queen recognition and major appearances

Over the past year, the pianist has earned multiple standing ovations at Truro Cathedral, raised over £23,000 for homeless and mental health charities across the UK, and received a special message from Roger Taylor of Queen.

He has also performed at high-profile events including the Royal Cornwall Show and Cornwall Pride.

Working with Peter Andre

The musician has been working on a new media pilot project with Peter Andre, who has also advised him on using his talents to move forward from his homeless situation.

“I’m still fundraising for charity,” he said, “but I’m also using my skills to help myself out of my homeless situation after being advised by Peter Andre so I can continue helping those in need.”
