Police Appeal After Serious Collision on A3083 Near Cury Cross Lanes

Police are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage following a serious single-vehicle collision on the A3083 near Cury Cross Lanes in Cornwall.

Passenger Suffers Potentially Life-Changing Injuries

Officers were called at around 7.30pm on Tuesday 19th August after a report of a collision involving a blue VW Golf.
A passenger in the vehicle was taken to hospital with what police have described as "potentially life-changing injuries."

Driver Arrested After Fleeing Scene

The driver fled the scene before being detained by officers.
A man in his 20s from Chesham was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drink, driving whilst disqualified and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has since been released on bail.

Road Closures and Appeal for Information

The road was closed while an investigation was carried out at the scene.
Police are now urging anyone with information to come forward.
They said:
"Anyone with any relevant information and dash-cam footage which may assist the investigation is asked to contact police via our website or by calling 101 quoting log 760 of the 19 August 2025."
