Falmouth School Celebrates Year 11 Exam Success
Falmouth School has announced outstanding results for its Year 11 students, celebrating both individual triumphs and collective success in this year's GCSE and BTEC qualifications.
Today, Thursday 21st August 2025, marked what the school described as the culmination of years of determination, resilience and support from families, teachers and the wider community.
Strong Results Across the Board
Highlights from this year's results include:

68% of students achieved Grade 4 or higher in both English and Maths.

12% of students secured Grade 8s and 9s across all qualifications.

Students once again outperformed the national average in all key attainment measures.
Standout Student Achievements
Several students achieved remarkable grades across multiple subjects:

Christopher gained Grade 9s in Biology, Chemistry, English, Geography, Physics and Spanish.

Holly secured Grade 9s in Chemistry, Maths, History, English Language and Literature.

George achieved Grade 9s in Biology, Chemistry, English, History, Maths and Physics.

Jenna gained Grade 9s in Biology, French, Maths and History.
Many students will now continue their studies at Falmouth VI Form, taking A-Levels in subjects ranging from Classics to Politics.
Student and Parent Reflections
Holly said:
"I'm still a bit in shock but I'm so happy. I'm excited to continue my studies in L-Level Maths, Chemistry and Classical Civilisation here at Falmouth VI Form."
Her mother, Mrs Webb, added:
"I'm so proud of my daughter's amazing achievement and a little overwhelmed to be honest. She has thoroughly enjoyed her time here and is thrilled to be studying her four A-Levels here at Falmouth VI Form."
Chris shared his excitement, saying:
"I'm just really happy and looking forward to celebrating tonight. Thank you to Falmouth School for the high-quality teaching and dedicated staff. I'm looking forward to staying on to study Chemistry, Maths and Physics here at Falmouth VI Form."
Staff Reflections
Lauren Miller, Learning Leader for Year 11, said:
"I'm so proud of all our students' achievements. They have been amazing every step of the way and absolutely deserve the fantastic outcomes they've received today. A huge thank you as well to all our staff who have supported them and we wish all our students the very best in their next steps, and look forward to welcoming many of them back to continue with us at Falmouth VI Form."
Headteacher Jo Guest added:
"Today has been a wonderful celebration with our Class of 2025 and their families. Our Year 11s have been a privilege to work with: ambitious, kind and resilient. These GCSE results also reflect the commitment of our staff, whose time, care and expertise have supported our young people to succeed both academically and personally. Once again, our students have outperformed the national average in all key measures, an achievement that reflects their hard work and determination."
