Roseland Academy Students Celebrate GCSE Results 2025

Thursday 21st August 2025 was filled with pride and celebration at The Roseland Academy in Tregony as Year 11 students collected their long-awaited GCSE results. Parents, carers, teachers and friends joined them in marking the milestone, as the Class of 2025 reflected on years of hard work and looked ahead to the future.

Headteacher Richard Clarke praised the determination shown by this year's students, saying:

"Their commitment and determination during exam season was exemplary, making them fantastic role models for students sitting their exams next year. Their achievements reflect the tireless efforts of each individual, supported by the dedication of staff across The Roseland Academy."

Results Above National Average

Initial analysis suggests that the outcomes achieved by the Class of 2025 are once again well above national averages. Strong performances in Modern Foreign Languages, English and Humanities are expected to place the school's results amongst the highest ranking.

Learning Leader for Year 11, Emma Atkins-Gammons, shared her congratulations:

"I want to wish our Year 11 Leavers huge congratulations – they showed commitment, hard work and resilience throughout Year 11 which has shown in their fantastic set of results today! I wish them all happiness and success in the next part of their journey."

Individual Highlights

Among the many success stories were those of Isabelle, Finn, Joe, Harry, Suki, Ava, Oscar and Gil, who between them secured more than thirty GCSE Grade 9s. Their results also included BTEC Distinction Stars, Distinctions and over sixty Grade 8s.

Students spent the morning celebrating with their families and teachers. Many spoke of a strong sense of belonging, with some even admitting they didn't want to leave despite reaching the end of their time at the school.

Richard Clarke added:

"Every member of staff at The Roseland Academy is proud of every student who received their results today and we look forward to seeing all they will go on to accomplish."

Looking Ahead

As the Class of 2025 move on, their journeys will take them into further education, apprenticeships and employment. The academy wished them every success in the years to come.
