Cyclist Seriously Injured in Collision at St Breward
A 19-year-old man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a collision at St Breward on Wednesday evening.
Emergency Response at Poley’s Bridge
Police said officers were called by the ambulance service at around 6.40pm on 27th August to reports of a collision involving a pedal cyclist on an unclassified road at Poley’s Bridge, St Breward, Cornwall.
The cyclist, a local man, sustained a serious head injury and was airlifted from the scene by Cornwall Air Ambulance to Derriford Hospital. His injuries are considered life threatening and his next of kin are aware.
Appeal for Witnesses
Officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team attended and are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision or have dashcam footage.
Police said:
“We are appealing for witnesses after a pedal cyclist was seriously injured on an unclassified road at St Breward on Wednesday 27 August.”
They added:
“If you witnessed the incident or have any information or dashcam footage that could help with enquiries, please contact us via our website here or by calling 101 quoting log number 0711 of 27/08/25.”
