Penhaligon’s Friends to Celebrate 30 Years with Charity Ball in Redruth
30 Years of Support for Bereaved Children
Cornish child bereavement charity Penhaligon’s Friends will mark three decades of vital support for bereaved children, young people, and families with a black-tie celebration this autumn.
The 30th Birthday Ball takes place on Saturday 8th November 2025 at the Penventon Park Hotel in Redruth, styled with a vintage theme inspired by the 1920s and 1930s.
Guests will enjoy a sparkling Prosecco reception accompanied by live piano music from 7pm, before a three-course dinner. The evening will also feature a charity auction to raise essential funds for the charity’s work across Cornwall, closing with a disco.
A Lifeline Since 1995
Established in 1995, Penhaligon’s Friends has grown into a lifeline for children and young people dealing with grief. Each year, more than 1,000 children, teenagers, and families are supported after the death of someone close to them.
The charity offers specialist services including advice, one-to-one support, memory days, and professional training for those working with bereaved families.
Words from the Charity
Julie Parker, CEO of Penhaligon’s Friends, said:
“We are so proud to be celebrating 30 years of Penhaligon’s Friends. Since 1995 we have walked alongside thousands of Cornish children and young people during the most difficult times in their lives.
“We are grateful to Enable Law for generously sponsoring our 30th Birthday Ball. It is not just a celebration of our history, but also an opportunity to thank our community for their support and to raise vital funds to enable us to continue this work in the future. We are also thankful to Darren and the team at the Penventon Park Hotel for their generosity and help organising and hosting this exciting event.”
