WAX Burner Obstacle Course to Take Place at Trewan Hall on 27th September

After delays, the WAX Burner is set to bring mud, colour and community spirit to Trewan Hall

After three postponements, the WAX Burner obstacle course is finally set to go ahead this Saturday 27th September at Trewan Hall in Cornwall.

The event will see more than 500 participants take on 4 km and 8 km routes packed with over 20 obstacles, including climbing rigs, hurdles, hay bales and custom-built scaffold structures designed by event sponsor BOOM Scaffolding.

Local businesses and clubs join the challenge

Teams from across the community are preparing to take part. Watergate Bay Surf Life Saving Club will be running to raise funds for vital life-saving equipment, while Tank Recruitment has entered a team of more than 15 in support of Children’s Hospice South West.

Every finisher will receive a bespoke medal as a keepsake from the challenge.

Spectators welcome for free

Spectators can attend free of charge and are being encouraged to get involved by cheering participants and throwing bursts of powdered paint, creating a colourful, family-friendly atmosphere.
