Police Appeal for Witnesses After Knife Attack in Bodmin
Police are appealing for witnesses and footage after an incident involving a knife in Bodmin.
Altercation Outside Q Bar
Officers were called at around 4pm on Saturday 30th August following reports of an altercation outside Q Bar on Fore Street. A male suspect is reported to have twice struck a woman in the face before kicking her in the stomach.
The suspect then continued to be abusive towards the group accompanying the woman. He is said to have pulled out a knife and swung it around in an attempt to slash various people, narrowly missing them. Fortunately, nobody was injured by the knife.
Arrest Made
Police confirmed that the suspect and the group were known to each other. A 21-year-old from Saltash was arrested on suspicion of attempted wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He has since been released on police bail.
Police Appeal
Officers investigating the incident are now seeking assistance from the public. They are appealing for anyone who witnessed the altercation, or who may have relevant footage and has not yet spoken to police, to come forward.
