Police Continue Appeal for Missing Sailor Guy Nelson

Police say they are increasingly concerned for the welfare of 57-year-old Guy Nelson, who has not been seen since Monday 8th September.

Last Known Movements

Guy, from Leamington Spa, had been sailing around Cornwall and Devon on his boat named Swallow (pictured). It is believed he planned to sail from Plymouth along the coast but has not been heard from since.

He was last known to be in or around the Drake’s Island area of Plymouth on 8th September. Prior to that, Guy had been in St Dominick in Cornwall, where a new photo of him was taken on Friday 5th September.

Police confirmed that Guy has no known links to Devon and Cornwall other than sailing in the area.

Description Released

Guy is described as a white male, 5ft 10ins tall, of medium build, with short curly brown hair and brown eyes. He usually wears glasses, a black t-shirt and jeans.

Police Appeal

Devon & Cornwall Police said:

“We continue to be concerned for the welfare of 57-year-old Guy Nelson and are issuing a more recent picture of him.”
