Documentary screening of ‘Gentle, Angry Women’ followed by a Q&A with Film Director Barbara Santi
2nd November @ 19:00 - 21:00
Gentle, Angry Women is the empowering story of three young women who discover the history and legacy of Greenham Common Women’s Peace Protest as they retrace the original 110-mile journey forty years on.
This coming-of-age documentary, driven by intergenerational dialogue, speaks to the need for action and change in our fractured world. Gentle, Angry Women invites viewers to witness how historical activism resonates with today’s generation – a bridge between past courage and present hope.
Following a sold-out first screening, Folklife Films are delighted to be screening Gentle, Angry Women at venues across Cornwall, including The Regal Cinema in Wadebridge on Sunday 2nd November.
The film’s director Barbara Santi will be facilitating a Q&A following the screening, inviting the audience to discuss the key themes and hear about the behind the scenes process of creating the film.
Early audiences have found the film to be an inspiring watch.
“A really humbling story of collective women’s activism and a roller coaster of emotions for the audience.”
