Thousands Raised as Boslowick’s Halloween Display Wows Crowds

A family in Boslowick has once again transformed their home into a Halloween spectacle, drawing hundreds of visitors and raising an impressive £2,423.75 for The Last Chance Hotel animal rescue charity.

Community Spirit Shines

The total, which includes Gift Aid, brings the family’s four-year fundraising total to £6,025. More than 600 Trick or Treaters visited on Halloween night alone, with an additional 200 people stopping by throughout the week to explore the themed garden and take part in activity trails for prizes.

A colouring competition, still open until 5th November, has proved especially popular. The winning entries will be chosen by local artist Rebecca of @rebeccawtattoos, who creates all artwork for the charity competitions.

“Overwhelmed by Support”

“We are continually overwhelmed by the support we receive,” the family said. “This display only works because our community turns up, donates, shares, and gets involved. Every penny raised helps keep The Last Chance Hotel doing the incredible work they do.”

The family added: “Thank you to everyone who visited, donated, and supported us this year. We look forward to seeing you again next October.”

Plans Already Underway for 2026

The family have confirmed they are already working on ideas for next year’s display and plan to bring the experience back to the community at the beginning of October 2026.
