Cornish Boatbuilder Makes International Debut at Metstrade 2025
Cockwells Modern & Classic Boatbuilding, based at Mylor Creek Boatyard near Falmouth, has announced it will exhibit at Metstrade in Amsterdam for the first time this November.
A New Chapter for Cockwells
The Cornish company will appear within The Pendennis Group refit cluster in the Superyacht Zone (Hall 8, Stand 08.173) at Metstrade 2025, taking place at RAI Amsterdam between 18th and 20th November. The event is recognised as the world’s leading platform for professionals in the leisure marine industry, with a strong focus on innovation, market developments and networking.
For Cockwells, it marks an opportunity to showcase its bespoke superyacht tenders that feature in prestigious refits such as Marala and Malahne, as well as highlight the specialist refit tender projects it regularly undertakes.
The Pendennis Group Exhibiting Together
This year also marks the first time all four businesses within The Pendennis Group will share a single stand. Pendennis Shipyard, Pendennis Vilanova, Norfolk Interiors and Cockwells Modern & Classic Boatbuilding will come together to present a unified display within a stylish 360-degree floating island stand.
The stand will offer all-day hospitality, including barista coffee, a bar and WiFi, reflecting the group’s commitment to client engagement and connection.
Stephen Hills, Pendennis Group Commercial Director, said:
“We are proud to offer our clients access to a wide range of expertise and resources — from bespoke tenders and new builds to refits, joinery and marina services. Whether you are exploring options for a new tender, a refit, or a custom build, the Cockwells team will be on hand to discuss your requirements, and our colleagues from across The Pendennis Group will also be available to share insights into their specialist services.”
Toby Allies, Managing Director of The Pendennis Group, added:
“As one of only six refit cluster stands at Metstrade 2025, this provides an invaluable opportunity for attendees to discover the four distinct branches of our company and how they feed into each other. We are delighted to welcome Cockwells to our Metstrade stand for the first time and look forward to reconnecting with old friends as well as meeting prospective new clients.”
A Thriving Industry
Metstrade 2025 will occupy all halls of the RAI Amsterdam complex, underlining the event’s scale and the growth of the marine sector. Representing Cockwells at the event will be Design Director Henry Ward, supported by Pendennis Group Commercial Director Stephen Hills.
