Cornwall Properties Go Under the Hammer: Could One Of These Be Yours?

A wide mix of garages, homes, land and commercial buildings across Cornwall is heading to auction in December, with guide prices starting from as little as £500. All lots form part of Clive Emson Auctioneers’ final sale of 2025, which concludes on 11th December with bidding live from 9th December.

Garages and Land in Penryn

Fourteen lock-up garages and their forecourt in Penryn are heading to auction with a freehold guide price of £35,000 plus. Cornwall Council has instructed the sale.

Auction Appraiser James Lofthouse said: “Lock-up garages regularly appear at auction and prove popular. The garages in Penryn are considered suitable for continued use in their current guise following refurbishment, although some may wish to explore potential re-development, subject to all the necessary consents.”

One of the garages is currently let at £46.56 per month with an agreement that can be ended by either party with two weeks’ notice.

A separate parcel of land at Kernick Business Park in Parkengue also has a £500 plus guide. The freehold plot measures roughly 0.04 hectares.

Camborne Flats and Coach House

Two residential opportunities in Camborne are also up for sale.

On Roskear Road, a house informally divided into two flats has a freehold guide price of £185,000 plus.

Auction Appraiser James Lofthouse said: “The Vestry comes to auction with the benefit of planning permission and associated Listed Building consent for change of use from a community office building to a dwelling house and alterations. It offers potential as a family home, for lettings or conversion and resale back on the market. Alternatively, it offers continued office use, or some potential bidders may have other schemes in mind subject to the necessary consents.”

Four parcels of land in the Hayle area are also listed:

• Two plots beside Hayle Terrace, with a combined size of about 1.57 hectares and a guide of £5,000 plus

Liskeard and Dobwalls Properties

A square parcel of land at Pendray Gardens in Dobwalls has a guide of £500 to £1,000 and measures about 0.05 hectares. Cornwall Council has instructed the sale.

Three acres of beach and cliff land off Porthkidney Beach at Lelant are also listed, with a guide price of £15,000 plus.

In Mullion, The Nook at Eglos Parc, a detached chalet bungalow with two bedrooms, gardens and parking, has a guide of £160,000 plus.

Katie said: “This well presented chalet style bungalow was most recently used as a holiday let and will most likely appeal to those wishing to add to their rental portfolio. Some may envisage re-development of the site due to its plot size, subject to all the necessary consents.”

A two storey investment property in Alverton Terrace, Penzance, containing two commercial units, has a guide of £110,000 plus and is currently let at £12,950 per year.

In Treloweth Terrace, Park Bottom, a two bedroom cottage has a guide of £110,000 plus.

Two flats with parking and a garden in Scorrier Street, St Day, have a guide of £70,000 plus. The property was previously fully let at £14,400 per year.
