What’s Waiting Inside The Eden Project’s Christmas Wonderland This Year?
Christmas has arrived at the Eden Project, with the gardens and Biomes now transformed into a festive landscape of lights, music and seasonal experiences. Late openings on select dates from 21st November to 4th January mean visitors can explore Eden after dark and see the site in a completely different way.
Lights Across the Gardens and Biomes
Twinkling displays run through the outdoor gardens, while the famous Biomes glow like giant snow globes. Inside, each Biome has its own take on festive magic.
The Mediterranean Biome is packed with Christmas sparkle and features a music and light show built around classic festive favourites. Over in the Rainforest Biome, a weaving route of illuminations pours through the tropical planting, matched with powerful music to create what Eden describes as a jungle adventure.
Biggest Ever Father Christmas Experience
Father Christmas is hosting an all-new interactive show set in a new location in the Core. The theatrical experience runs on select dates between 22nd November and 24th December. Green Friday deals offer 25 percent off on certain dates and timeslots.
Visitors will explore a treasure trove of festive traditions on their way through the experience. Each child will meet Father Christmas and take home a keepsake linked to the theme of Christmas magic.
Ice Skating and Festive Food
Eden’s undercover ice rink has returned for winter. Sessions, lessons and toddler-friendly play slots can be booked in advance.
After a session on the ice, visitors can choose from festive foods at Eden’s cafes. An all-new three course Christmas lunch is also being served inside the Mediterranean Biome.

Eden’s Take on Christmas
Simon Townsend, general manager at the Eden Project, said: “This is my favourite time of year at Eden. We invest a huge amount of time and energy into creating a magical Christmas extravaganza. We have our biggest ever Father Christmas experience taking place in a new location in the Core, the Biomes are always showstopping and the ice rink is the cherry on top.”
