The Nare Hotel Wins Good Hotel Guide 2026 César Award for Best Seaside Hotel

The Nare, the country house hotel by the sea on the Roseland Peninsula, has been named Best Seaside Hotel in the Good Hotel Guide 2026 César Awards. The accolade reinforces its place as one of the leading five star hotels in the south west.

The awards were presented on 18th November 2025.

Recognised by the UK’s Only Independent Hotel Guide

The César Awards go to hotels, inns and B&Bs considered outstanding in their category. Each place is reviewed by an anonymous inspector after trusted reader reports, making the Good Hotel Guide the only fully independent hotel guide in the UK.

This latest win follows The Nare’s recent success at the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence 2026, where it was named Best Waterside Hotel.

A Celebrated Setting on the Roseland

The family-owned hotel sits above Carne beach, with golden sands stretching towards Nare Head. It has been the highest rated hotel in Cornwall for more than 30 years and is known for its traditional style of hospitality.

Earlier this year The Nare opened The Quarterdeck Seafood Restaurant, serving locally sourced seafood and offering sea views for guests and non-residents.
