Falmouth University’s Be Good agency has launched a new website that aims to show the growing impact of its research-led, student-powered work. Built in collaboration with Cornwall’s Papaya Studio, the platform marks a step forward in how the agency presents its campaigns for clients including Cornwall Council, NHS Cornwall and Ecover.

Blending Research and Creativity

Founded in 2022 by Lucy Cokes within Falmouth University’s School of Communication, Be Good mixes academic research, behavioural economics and student creativity to tackle real-world challenges for brands and non-profits.

The agency gives students the chance to work on live briefs with guidance from experienced faculty. So far, the team has created more than 35 paid work opportunities, helping students build confidence, gain professional skills and contribute to campaigns that support their communities.

Lucy said the partnership with Papaya Studio had been a strong fit.

“The collaboration between the advertising team at Falmouth University and the local studio, Papaya, has been highly rewarding. Papaya listened meticulously to our needs, delivering a new brand and website that has instantly strengthened Be Good’s professional credibility. The clarity of the new site is crucial; it not only successfully serves our diverse set of audiences but, most importantly, brings immense value to our students by showcasing their work in a highly professional manner.”

Cornwall Partnership Builds Be Good’s New Platform

The collaboration began in May 2025, with the new site going live at the end of October. Discovery workshops shaped the digital strategy and user experience, ensuring the platform clearly explains Be Good’s mix of academic insight and student-driven creativity.

The new site also gives the team full control of their content, allowing them to update projects, publish new work and refine messaging without needing a developer. This means the platform can stay current as the agency continues to grow.

Papaya Studio’s founder Nathan Hambling said it had been an enjoyable project to work on.

“This was a brilliant collaboration to be part of. The Be Good team had such a clear purpose to create something that felt every bit as credible and research-backed as the work they deliver. From our first workshop, it was clear how much passion there is for empowering students and driving social change, and we’re proud to have helped them bring that to life online.”

Lucy added that the new platform supports Be Good’s wider goals.

“This new website is a vital strategic tool for us providing a hub for our knowledge exchange activity, helping our research have wider impact and giving our work visibility with audiences beyond academia. The platform provides a clear, compelling showcase of our unique expertise in behavioural change which will undoubtedly help us to secure future clients and impactful commercial projects for our students to work on during their studies.”

Supporting Cornwall’s Creative Talent

Be Good has already delivered campaigns focused on vaccine hesitancy, violence prevention and sustainable living. Local organisations have praised the work produced by Falmouth students.

One Cornwall Council representative said on the Be Good website:

“It feels like we’re really building a great relationship with the University… your students have engaged so wholeheartedly in our briefs to produce some truly inspiring work.”

A Boost for Cornwall’s Creative Economy

The partnership highlights a wider pattern in Cornwall’s growing creative sector, where universities, agencies and studios work together to develop new talent and support meaningful research.

For Be Good, the new website strengthens its presence as a research-backed agency driven by student creativity. For Papaya Studio, it showcases the value of local partnerships with purpose.
