Falmouth Mayor to Host Christmas Variety Show in Support of Pendennis Leisure
Falmouth’s Mayor, Councillor Alan Jewell, is inviting people to a festive night at the Princess Pavilion on Saturday 13th December at 6.30pm for The Mayor’s Christmas Variety Show. The evening will raise money for Pendennis Leisure CIO, the Mayor’s chosen charity for 2025 and 2026.
A Night of Music, Comedy and Community Spirit
The show will be hosted by Julie Skentelbery of BBC Cornwall and will feature a wide mix of local performers, all giving up their time for free to support Pendennis Leisure’s campaign.
Mayor Alan Jewell says:
“I’m delighted to be hosting the first-ever Mayor’s Christmas Variety Show! It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the amazing talent in our community and support Pendennis Leisure’s efforts in bringing a much-needed swimming pool back to Falmouth. I’d like to give a huge thank you to all the acts taking part, for giving their time and energy for free. Their generosity shows the incredible community spirit we have in Falmouth. Come along, enjoy a festive evening, and join us in supporting this fantastic cause!”
Pendennis Leisure aims to bring a public swimming pool back to the old Ships and Castles site on Pendennis Headland. The charity also runs the Pendennis Community Centre, which supports a range of community activities and wellbeing programmes.
