Woman Dies After A390 Collision Near Chiverton Cross
A woman has died after a serious collision on the A390 near Chiverton Cross earlier this month.
What Police Say Happened
Police were called at around 1.45pm on Tuesday 18th November to reports of a collision involving a yellow Fiat Panda and a black Nissan Qashqai on the stretch of road towards Truro.
The drivers of both vehicles, a man in his 80s and a woman in her 70s, sustained significant injuries as a result of the collision.
The local woman has since died in hospital from the injuries she suffered. Her next of kin have been informed. The man remains in hospital.
Road Closures and Appeal for Information
The road was closed for around four hours while officers carried out a full examination of the scene and the vehicles were recovered.
Officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward. They can be contacted via the police website or by calling 101 and quoting reference 50250296829.
