Christmas Tree Festival Returns to Princess Pavilion with Swim and Sparkle Theme

Published On: 28 November 2025Last Updated: 28 November 2025By

Anticipation is growing as 33 community groups prepare to reveal their handmade decorations for this year’s Christmas Tree Festival at Princess Pavilion and Gyllyngdune Gardens.

A&P Falmouth are supporting the festival once again, covering the cost of all trees and lights. This year’s theme, Swim and Sparkle, highlights the community appeal for a new wellbeing hub and 25 metre swimming pool at Pendennis Leisure Centre.

The festival opens on Sunday 30th November at 5.00pm, when A&P apprentices will switch on the lights with the Mayor of Falmouth. The evening will include festive music and performances from Falmouth School and St Stythians Band. Mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies will be available from the Pavilion bar.

Swim and Sparkle Takes Centre Stage

Each of the 33 trees will feature a special QR code ornament, giving visitors a quick way to donate directly to the Pendennis Leisure Centre appeal.

Returning this year is the Tree of Wishes, where visitors can leave messages for loved ones or hopes for the future. Donations placed here will support Miracle Theatre and their Small Miracles Initiative, which helps young people in Falmouth and Penryn take part in performing, writing, directing, technical theatre design and event support.

Mike Spicer, Managing Director of APCL A&P Falmouth, said: “APCL A&P Falmouth is pleased to be sponsoring the Christmas Tree Festival once again this year. Each year the event provides a great opportunity for our apprentices to support their local community by installing the trees, practicing the skills they have learned during their apprenticeship.  It is also an honour that they have once again been chosen by the town to switch on the lights. We wish everyone an enjoyable evening from all at APCL A&P Falmouth.”

A Growing Festival for the Whole Community

Nicola Burgess, Community Engagement Officer for Falmouth Town Council, said: “A&P’s ongoing support ensures this event remains free for everyone involved from the community groups decorating the trees to the families who come to enjoy them. We’re thrilled to welcome even more groups this year, and the ‘Swim and Sparkle’ theme feels especially meaningful as we rally behind Pendennis Leisure Centre’s appeal.”

All 33 trees will be decorated by local organisations, each interpreting the theme in their own way.

The decorated trees will be on display in the foyer and under the veranda in the Gardens from Sunday 30th November 2025 until Friday 2nd January 2026.
