Photographers Create 2026 Charity Calendar Showcasing Cornwall

A new 2026 calendar showcasing Cornish landmarks has gone on sale, featuring photographs taken by a group of learning disabled photographers from Hft Wadebridge and Hft St Austell.

Exploring Cornwall Through the Lens

Members of the photography club at Hft Wadebridge’s resource centre and members of Hft St Austell’s Coast Group have spent the past few months visiting spots across the county. Their trips included Restormel Castle in Lostwithiel, The Camel Trail and Lerryn, where they captured images for the calendar.

A selection of their pictures was chosen for the final design, with all proceeds from sales being put back into the club to help buy a new camera and a printer.

The photography club meets every Wednesday.

Photographers Share Their Experience

Club member Jade said: “It was great to go out and about and explore and visit new places across Cornwall. I am pleased with the pictures the group took and it was hard to choose which ones should feature in the calendar.”

Budding photographer Toby said: “I really enjoyed our trips out taking pictures and I am excited to see the finished calendar. I will be buying one for myself and also for my family.”

Calendar Supporting the Club for a Second Year

This is the second year the group has produced a charity calendar, with last year’s sales helping to buy new equipment.

The club is run by support worker Fay Martin, while the calendar itself is designed by support worker Dave Hatton, who also runs the Coast activity group based at the resource centre.

Dave said: “The group has worked really hard on this year’s calendar and have produced some really impressive images.”

Where to Buy

The 2026 calendars, priced at £9, are available to purchase at the HFT resource centre.

About Hft

Hft is a charity founded in 1962 and supports more than 2,800 learning disabled adults across England and Wales. The organisation focuses on personalised support, independent living solutions, campaigning for positive change and fundraising to create new opportunities.

Hft explains that a learning disability differs from a learning difficulty. A learning difficulty does not affect general intellect, while a learning disability is a life-long condition that involves reduced intellectual ability and challenges with everyday activities.
