Carnglaze Caverns Launches Local Hero Christmas Campaign for 2025

Carnglaze Caverns has launched its 2025 Local Hero Campaign, inviting the public to put forward someone who makes a real difference in their community. The campaign runs from Monday 8th to Friday 12th December, with one winner chosen each day.

Each selected Local Hero will receive free entry for themselves and invited guests to the Carnglaze Winter Wonderland, which returns this year for its third season. Everyone who submits a nomination will also receive a 10 per cent discount code for Winter Wonderland tickets. Terms and conditions apply.

A Christmas Experience Underground

Carnglaze Caverns says this year’s Winter Wonderland will be its most spectacular yet, with immersive festive scenes, dazzling lighting and a striking underground setting.

The event now also includes visits to meet Santa, Christmas markets and family activities.

How to Nominate a Local Hero

Nominations can be submitted via the Carnglaze Caverns social media post . Winners will be selected daily from 8th to 12th December.

When Winter Wonderland is Open

Winter Wonderland runs from 1st to 30th December, though the caverns will be closed on the 11th, 19th, 24th, 25th and 26th.

Both daytime and evening sessions are available and pre booking is recommended.

Ticket Information

Tickets can be purchased via the Carnglaze Caverns website or at the ticket office, with adult, child, family and concession options available. Anyone who nominates a Local Hero will receive a 10 per cent discount code for Winter Wonderland tickets.

Accessibility

The caves have some uneven pathways due to the natural environment. The first cavern is accessible to most visitors, though deeper sections may have limited access. Sensible footwear is advised.
