Appeal for Witnesses After Collision Involving 4×4 and Motorcycle in Falmouth
Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision involving a 4×4 and a motorcycle in Falmouth.
What happened
Emergency services were called at 8.35am on Wednesday 17th December after a collision involving a blue Ford Ranger 4×4 and a white 50cc motorcycle.
The collision happened on the roundabout connecting North Road, Falmouth Road and Dracaena Avenue, next to the town’s McDonald’s restaurant.
Injuries and arrests
As a result of the collision, a 16 year old motorcyclist from the Redruth area sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital. His next of kin have been informed.
A man in his 30s from Falmouth was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of a controlled drug. He has since been released under investigation.
Appeal for information
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have dash cam or other relevant footage, to come forward.
