Cornwall Innovation Centres Raise £1,534 for Man Down at Christmas Quiz

Cornwall Innovation Centres have raised more than £1,500 for Man Down following their annual Christmas Quiz and Lunch events held across their centres.

Festive Quiz and Raffle Bring People Together

Each year, Cornwall Innovation Centres host a Christmas Quiz and Lunch for customers at each centre. Teams of four compete for the quiz title before sitting down to a festive buffet lunch. Alongside the quiz, a raffle runs throughout the festive season, with prizes donated by customers of the Centres and local businesses.

This year’s events raised a total of £1,534, thanks to the generosity of customers and supporters. Quiz champions included teams from Oxford Innovation, Koha Architects and Tank Recruitment.

Supporting Man Down

The money raised is donated to a nominated charity, which changes each year. For 2025, Cornwall Innovation Centres chose to support Man Down, a charity focused on preventing male suicide and improving men’s mental health through peer to peer support groups across Cornwall and beyond.

Matt Harrington, Head of Cornwall Innovation Centres, said: “Man Down provide vital support to men who may otherwise struggle in silence. It’s fantastic to see customers across the Cornwall Innovation Centres come together to support such an important cause. Thank you to everyone involved for helping us raise an incredible amount of money that will make a real difference.”

Darren Collins, Events Coordinator at Man Down UK, added: “Thank you to Cornwall Innovation Centres for choosing Man Down UK as one of the charities to raise money for. The funds raised will make a real difference by helping to save lives through reducing male suicide, enabling more peer to peer support groups to open, and providing men aged 18+ with a safe place to talk.”
