Launceston College Student Gains Michelin Star Kitchen Experience

A Launceston College student has spent a day learning what it takes to work at the highest level of professional cooking after joining Michael Caines in his kitchens at Lympstone Manor.

Harry, a young chef at Launceston College, which is part of Athena Learning Trust, took part in a work experience placement at the five star country house overlooking the Exe Estuary.

During the day, Harry met Michael and his team and gained a firsthand look at the precision, teamwork and dedication needed to operate a Michelin starred restaurant.

About Lympstone Manor

Lympstone Manor is Michael’s personal vision and includes its own vineyard producing wine on site. The restaurant achieved a Michelin star just six months after opening.
